Boulder, CO (April 26, 2001) -- Biometrics, Inc., creators of PC Coach®
Athletic Training Software, has just released its most anticipated software to
date - PC Coach Version 3.1. In addition to all the powerful features introduced
in previous versions, PC Coach 3.1 is now the only coaching software directly
compatible with the new S-series Heart Rate Monitors from Polar, including the
S410 and the cycling-specific S510.

Both the S410 and S510 utilize SonicLink™ downloading of workout data. First
introduced in the Polar Coach Heart Rate Monitor in the Spring of 1999,
SonicLink is a revolutionary data transfer technology that allows athletes to
quickly and affordably record their workout data to their personal computers.
SonicLink uses the beeping function found in sports watches and heart rate
monitors to transmit workout data. This data is directly received by a computer's
microphone, eliminating the need for a costly download interface.

"SonicLink is the wave of the future in the sports electronics market; downloading
is now affordable because we've eliminated the interface kit," says Jim Dotter,
President of Biometrics, Inc. Affordable and powerful - a cyclist using the new
S510 with the optional cadence function has the ability to download not just
their heart rate data, but their speed, distance and cadence data directly into
PC Coach 3.1. Once downloaded, they are rewarded with an easy-to-analyze
graphical profile of their ride. The S-series users can also benefit from the new
Uplink feature in 3.1. With the Uplink feature the software will automatically set
up the HRM, eliminating the time and hassle normally involved in preparing the
monitor for a workout.

In addition to compatibility with the new Polar monitors, PC Coach 3.1 continues
to improve upon its predecessor, PC Coach 2000, with various changes and
additions including the introduction of strength training workouts and compatibility
with Windows ME and Windows 2000.

PC Coach Training Software is comprised of the PC Coach Elite logbook as well
as the Pro Training Series. Titles in the series include Mike Pigg's Triathlon
Training Plan, The PC Coach Cycling Plan, Coach Roy Benson's Heart Rate
Running Plan, Jeff Galloway's Marathon/Half Marathon Training Plan, Uta Pippig's
Marathon Plan, and Arturo Barrios' 10K Plan. The training plans are designed as
modules to work in conjunction with the PC Coach Elite software logbook,
providing a training calendar to log workout data and a graphing tool to analyze
long-term progress and training trends. Each plan offers athletes of all abilities
access to world-class coaching by setting up a training schedule based on the
training philosophy of the coach.
